槍支泛濫

早已困擾美國多年

Gun violence has long been a problem

in the US,

不僅威脅民眾安全

threatening the lives of all,

更蔓延到校園

even young people on campus,

讓師生都感到不安

putting them under the shadow of fear.

美國憲法規(guī)定持槍權

本為保障美國公民自由

The US Constitution allows people to own guns to protect their liberty;

時過境遷

今天卻成了束縛美國freedom情感文案館的枷鎖

yet today it has become a chain

讓“自由”二字蒙羞

that curbs US citizens’ freedom.

控槍也一直是美國重要議題

The US government has tried to

implement gun control.

早在奧巴馬時期就在努力

The Obama administration tried to do so,

結(jié)果弄了一身泥；

but it suffered a huge failure;

現(xiàn)任美國政府也在努力

The current administration is trying, too,

但又如何拗得過背后的利益freedom情感文案館？

but how could they defeat

the interests behind?

美國控槍難，還跟社會撕裂有關

Gun abuse has much to do

with social disparity.

兩黨之間吵

There are quarrels between the two parties,

白宮跟國會吵

between the White House and US Congress,

甚至一個屋檐下都在吵

Even between the husband and the wife living under the same roof.

吵來吵去

控槍力度如何保障？

Gun control is impossible

under such circumstances.

控槍久拖不決

槍口下的冤魂何處訴說？

So who can stop the gun violence?

美國民眾早已怒氣滿滿

many people in the US have long been angry,

但美國政府仍裹足不前

but US politicians are impotent or unwilling.

美國政客是時候給點力了

早日控住槍

But it is time for the US to control guns,

別讓槍控住自己！

instead of being controlled by them.
